Il commento di un tipo che l'ha montato su MK2 (con air bag ovviamente)
Arrived quickly as usual but had a nightmare fitting this to my mk2. The
alignment of the holes for the indicator cancelling pins was out by 90 degrees
and the horn contact ring jsut got int the way. Also the adapter pushed on too
far and compressed/rubbed on the clock spring connector housing and cancelling
pins too so I had to add a spacer. Ended up removing the horn contact ring so
that I could unbolt the lower half of the adapter and rotate 90 deg to line up
the cancelling pins. Then wired direct to the clock spring connector and had to
add another wire for the earth. Not sure if this is really meant for a mk2 or
not but that metal contact ring for the horn was useless, much better to wire
the horn direct to the clock spring connector.
Although there was a a
bit of fiddling involved (pretty sure the alignment of the cancelling pins being
out by 90 deg must have been a one off error by the manufacturer) it still does
the job.

Infatti, io ho montato quel mozzo (che poi è quello della "Raid", si trova facilmente anche su ebay.de) e come ho cercato di dire più volte, ho dovuto togliere il girello per 2 motivi.
1 il girello ha una sporgenza che è l'ingresso per le connessioni
2 anche limando via le connessioni (come ho fatto, rendendo impossibile il rimontaggio del volante originale sigh!) infilato il mozzo sul millerighe, questo strusciava sul girello.
Quindi, tolto il girello, e riposizionata la boccola bianca che fa eliminare le frecce, il montaggio è risultato abbastanza semplice.
Ora faccio una considerazione:
E' un accrocchio? La risposta è si ma secondo me (potrei sbagliarmi cmq) tutti i mozzi after market per la mx-5 sono fatti nello stesso modo. Ne è conferma che questi mozzi vengono dati compatibili solo con la NA senza air-bag. Anche la stessa Nardi mi aveva detto che loro producono soltanto mozzi per NA mod. senza air-bag. Che poi i venditori lo diano compatibile anche per NA ed NB con air-bag è un altro paio di maniche.
Fa eccezione quel mozzo linkato qualche pagina fa che prevede le connessioni sul retro per air-bag.
In realtà, quando mi sono scontrato col problema dell'installazione del volante, cercando su internet avevo trovato un articolo, dove il mozzo era stato tagliato sul fondo per aprire uno spazio alla sporgenza del girello. Probabilmente poi con un'altra modifica lo si teneva leggermente distanziato per evitare strusciamenti. Questa modifica però non era alla mia portata per cui ho agito in modo diverso. Non vorrei essere insistente ma come si vede da questa immagine, la boccola bianca sta li anche tolto il girello ed è così che ho montato il mozzo.
