thank you for using our shop. The part does fit both places: upper driver side and lower passenger side. Altough the Mazda number is different for the sides, the part is the same. The hinges we know for NA have only 2 holes upper and lower side. Normally, the part should fit with your car. Please try if the part really does not fit, maybe you overlooked something. If it will not fit, could you please send us a foto of the part with the 3 holes or make a picture of where the three screws shall go to. Then we will try to help you out.

You can drill a third hole in the hinge or you need to cut the bolt from the chassis.
