The Turbo kit can be used for up to 400HP power . I have tested the kit 20000km with the 300PS already, for testing purposes on the stock engine and could not detect any problems. However, my recommendation, if the kit is run in conjunction with the series engine on a 2,0l is 240hp - 250hp, to still have a certain reserve. In this performance, we speak of a boost pressure of 0.3 bar as a guide. If you want to have 300PS variant is not a problem, just the boost pressure increased to 0.55 bar . Alternatively, of course, I am also offering engine structures with forged pistons / connecting rods and racing storage, just let me know if interested.
The HK -Power Turbo kit is a Plug & Play solution for the Mazda Mx -5 NC. It contains everything needed for installation and TÜV registration and only the highest quality components can from the accessories market is used, this is the key to success:
- HK - Power 4 in 1 Stainless Steel Manifold
- Borg Warner EFR water-cooled turbocharger 6258 , Lubricated , with integrated BOV valve .
- HK - Power 3 inch Downpipe to Kat
- Certified HJS Metallkat for up to Euro 5 and 280HP
- Aluminum intercooler piping to the front intercooler and intake manifold
- Front air / air intercooler with rubber mounting
- All silicone connectors that are required to install and HD - bolt clamps
- Water supply lines for the cooling water supply to the turbocharger.
- 3 bar map sensor with intake air temperature sensor
- A set of special colder spark plugs and larger injectors
This complete kit costs 6000 Euro
The installation of the Turbokit is at 2000 €, because it is time consuming, if you want to have everything well installed, for example, you must remove the oilpan to drill a hole and put the draining from the Turbo back in the engine…..If you do it the frist time it can be very hard if you don’t know the tricks
The tuning with EcuTek is 1000 €, if you already have a license on your ecu.
The brake upgrade with the 6 pistons brake caliper and 330x32 mm discs with a yellow stuff brake pads are 1900€
So I think now you have a good overview of all parts and prices. I just take the highest quality products to get the most reliable kit on the market.
Installation takes 1 week in our workshop incl. mapping and dyno sheet.
The first customer from italy recieves a 20 % off discount on the kit, as a kind of sponsoring. The only thing he/she has to do, is to write a report on the forum about the whole project.
Best regards Holger Kern

Ho cercato velocemente qualche info sul Borg-Warner, e pare che molti lo considerino superiore al Garrett GTX2867 (dal forum Miataturbo):
"The 6258 will spool and respond SIGNIFICANTLY faster than a Garrett GTX2867. They are impossible to get right now, but I would wait for a 6258."
"No data, just driving impressions. The 6258 that I drove reminded me of my old BP4W/2554R setup. Crazy, crazy responsive and awesome low-end and mid-range power. I've driven several 2860RS cars and they don't even compare to the way a 6258 drives, and the 2867 isn't going to spool or respond faster than a 2860RS. "
"Look at soviet's dyno plot - 200ft.lbs at 3000rpm and 250+ft.lbs at 3500rpm. Not even Paul's old car did that, and that was a 2560R car. The EFR6258s are torque monsters."
