-Basic MS2
Fully plug and play, and much cheaper than the MSPNP2: The Basic MS2, along with the IAT sensor, USB cable, vacuum line
-Enhanced MS2
If your car has A/C, it won't work with the Basic MS2. If you want full A/C support and even more features (launch control, flat shift, valet modes, sequential fan support, knock control, and much much more), then you need the Enhanced MS2
Su quest'ultima gli ho poi chiesto le differenze rispetto alla mspnp2:
Compared to the Enhanced MS2, the MSPNP2 doesn't have:
+ 26 inputs
+ 20 outputs
+ Fully CAN Bus enabled
+ Sequential ignition
+ Excellent knock control with DSP, software adjustable.*
+ Electronic boost control with 2 separate boost levels, selectable with an external switch, and/or boost by gear, scramble boost
+ CEL is used for progressive overheating warning, knock warning, low/high oil pressure, high oil temp, high EGTs, all fully software adjustable
+ A/C control (switches off below 600rpm, above 5500rpm, on 90% TPS or more, all completely software adjustable)
+ A/C idle-up, software adjustable
+ P/S idle-up, software adjustable
+ Sequential cooling fan control, software adjustable
+ Clutch and neutral switch input (these are used on several occasions, like for idle control, overrun fuel cut, etc)
+ Speed input from OEM sensor, current gear calculation (requires 1.8 dash or electronic speedo sensor on the gearbox from a 99+)
+ Valet switch (cuts fuel and spark above configurable RPM, speed or throttle thresholds, software adjustable)
+ Enhanced launch control using the stock clutch switch, timed, with an external master on/off switch
+ Enhanced flatshift (activate with external switch)
+ TEN terminal input to set your base timing and idle rpm
+ Two free programmable outputs
+ Oil temperature input
+ Oil pressure input
+ EGT sensor input
+ Flex fuel sensor input
+ Free analog input
+ All of the features above available at the same time due to the vast number of inputs and outputs.
* Knock control features: Full DSP stage. 0-1024 knock indication (not just "knock/no knock", like a regular MS1/MS2/MSPNP/MSPNP2). Bandpass frequency filter, adjustable for your engine's bore. Adjustable gain to compensate for the engine's background noise and knock sensor condition. Adjustable knock threshold Vs RPM (10 points). Adjustable RPM window. Adjustable CEL warning for knock. Adjustable knock retard on knock. Everything adjustable in real time through the laptop, NOT through a potentiometer etc on the ECU.
So for about the same price after importing the MSPNP2, the Enhanced MS2 has MANY more features.
Hi Fabio,
the MX5s have a painfully weak coil pack, so if you want to go with an ECU that you wire in yourself, I would recommend fitting Toyota COPs, these are much better and fit the Mazda.
An MS2 ECU for you to wire in yourself to run the Toyota COPs is €----. This comes with a 1m bare ended loom, comms lead and manuals. Postage is £18. Lead time is around a week.
If you go for a Plug-n-Play ECU (MS2) then this can run the Mazda coil packs, the cost for this is €--- inc postage. Lead time is around 2 weeks.
Non capisco bene cosa intende. Perchè vuole farmi montare le bobine toyota?
Avete consigli? Ciò che ha la enhanced in più della basic mi può servire?
