[NC] Altezza standard NC 2.0

Ciao a tutti, chiedo il vostro aiuto 

Mi sapreste indicare l'altezza da terra standard della NC 2.0 (RC)? 
Che punti di riferimento si possono usare per effettuare la misurazione? Distanza mozzo-passaruota? O zona attacco crick-suolo?

A proposito dell'altezza stock (esagerata) del corpo vettura della NC. Sulla rete ho scovato questo documento del club sudafricano:

In dettaglio:

"...*Standard being what you get in South Africa which is the same as Britton and Europe. The Mazda MX5 – NC was designed to have suspension 30 -35mm lower than what we have. At the time of the launch of the NC model the EU introduced new pedestrian safety regulations that stipulated minimum bumper and bonnet specifications. Without radical redesign Mazda was able to achieve these requirements by raising the height of the cars. This is why when you look at the broachers’ for the NC the wheels fit neatly into the wheel well space where as our cars have these large gaps between the top of the wheel and under side of the wheel arch..." 

Insomma: la NC fu progettata "giusta" ma per adeguarla agli standard introdotti qualche anno dopo dovettero adattarla.  
Qualcuno ha altri riscontri di questo genere? Sembra una cosa folle ma ho recentemente scoperto che anche le ultime Toyota MR2 (ZZW30) dal 2004 ebbero lo stesso trattamento (altezza aumentata di 25 mm).

E in effetti, considerando l'altezza e soprattutto lo spazio tra ruota e passaruota nella NC, è anche del tutto plausibile...

Confermo, l'avevo già letta tempo addietro su Miata.net - a memoria - doveva uscire ribassata ma poi...maledette omologazioni

Perché, sulla carta di circolazione è riportata l'altezza da terra? Il tipo di ammortizzatori o di molle? Francè, scusa, ma perché tutte 'ste pippe mentali?

posto che se fosse più bassa mi striscierebbe per terra ovunque...
perchè a causa di una norma UE avrebbero modificato l'assetto di tutta la produzione? i modelli usa hanno molte differenze e pure l'australia ha tanti pezzi dedicati.
